INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELDS OF HOUSING AND HUMAN SETTLEMENTS

In Turkey, due to its mission statement TOKİ has a leading role through international commitments on human settlements area and in this respect, considering national priorities, TOKİ carries on its activities on housing and urbanization fields by providing informational flow through international institutions.

In this respect, after HABITAT II Conference TOKİ has been given the duty of carrying out the follow-up activities and has been given the coordination role within the related public and private institutions.

Meanwhile,  through the context of its authorithy and its responsibilities, TOKİ has the duty of reporting, collecting data, documentation, participation, and organization of meetings towards the relations and in coordination with United Nations and with the other international institutions (EU, EC, etc.)
